Target Group:
Any entrepreneur interested in starting a business, any technical/research
institutes/universities, especially those specializing in rural and agro-based industries, Any
government of India or state government institution or agency working in the fields of
technology, rural development, entrepreneur development, or business management.
About the Scheme:
The Ministry of MSME launched the ASPIRE program in 2015 with the goal of creating a
network of technology centers to boost start-ups in the agro-industry and encourage
innovation and entrepreneurship. Establishing Technology Business Incubators (TBI),
Livelihood Business Incubators (LBI), and Startup Promotion through SIDBI are the three
components of this strategy.
Assistance Pattern:
- Agricultural practices and processes related to them are becoming mechanized.
- Adding value to agricultural and forest products.
- Agricultural pre/post-harvest waste recycling, off-farm but farm-connected animal husbandry, and so on.
- Rural-appropriate business models for aggregation and value addition company ideas that generate local jobs in rural areas, as well as company concepts with a social impact.
